Train accident
Train accident means a rail equipment accident described in 225.19 of this chapter involving damage in excess of the current reporting threshold (see 225.19(e) of this chapter), including an accident involving a switching movement. Rail equipment accidents include, but are not limited to, collisions, derailments, and other events involving the operations of on-track or fouling equipment (whether standing or moving).
